Art Hotel Tartini: stay on Tartini Square, in the Venetian heart of Piran
46 rooms overlooking the most beautiful square in Slovenia, designed by a contemporary artist.
Pirano (Piran), Slovenia
Located directly on Tartini Square, in the heart of Piran’s historic centre, Art Hotel Tartini is a boutique hotel that blends contemporary art with Venetian architecture. The location is unbeatable—from the room windows you can see the statue of Tartini and the Gothic palaces surrounding it.
In 2018, the hotel was completely redesigned by internationally renowned Slovenian artist JAŠA, who transformed each room into a different environment—original artworks, installations, and custom-made furniture. The hotel’s theme is Tartini himself: the bar is called Devil’s Trill, after his most famous piece, and the restaurant Da Giuseppe.
The panoramic terrace overlooks Tartini Square—the perfect place for an aperitif while watching the rooftops of Piran and the sea in the background. From here, everything worth seeing is within walking distance: the Venetian House with the inscription lassa pur dir, the climb up the bell tower of St. George, and the medieval city walls.
It is the ideal base for those who want to experience Piran without rushing—arriving in the evening, strolling at night when day visitors have already left, and rediscovering the city in silence at dawn.
